Ok—it does. But 140 characters is not it anymore. On Tuesday, Twitter announced that they are trialing 280 characters tweets with a randomly selected group of users, and the world will never be the same.

Brevity, concise writing, to-the-point messages… that’s what Twitter is was all about!

And some people are really not happy with the potentially permanent change. Specially celebrities, which is understandable since Twitter—the 140 characters Twitter we’ve always known and love— has been the go-to app for A-listers for the last decade.
