Matt Leblanc pays tribute to Matthew Perry

Date:

Matt LeBlanc, recognized for his portrayal of Joey in “Friends”, expressed his words for the first time following the death of co-star Matthew Perry, which occurred in October this year. The tribute to his friend was shared by the actor on his social networks this Tuesday (14). LeBlanc is the first of the series’ five main cast members to individually address the loss.

In his moving text, he begins: “It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. The moments we were together are honestly among the favorites of my life.” LeBlanc goes on to highlight the honor of sharing the studio and friendship with Perry. He promises to keep his friend’s memory alive with a smile and the certainty that he will never be forgotten.

“Spread your wings and fly, brother. You’re finally free. Much love. And I think you’ll get the twenty stories you owed me”, concludes the emotional publication. Matt LeBlanc carefully chose a series of photos that capture unforgettable moments of the characters Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, and Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc. Their collaboration lasted a decade, from 1994 to 2004.

The post quickly received a flood of supportive comments and condolences, with fans expressing solidarity with Matt during this time of grief. Comments such as “I just finished Friends now, and I was waiting for your publication” and “Brazilian fans are with you” demonstrate the emotion and affection of the series’ admirers.
