Asked by the website Revista Mundo Ciclistico about the maximum goal for 2024, the athlete validated that the Giro d’ Itália is his main objective. The news was released after Jumbo-Visma modified the cyclist’s competition calendar by changing the activities, shaping the focus for matches in the Spring Classics, in which the Giro d’Italia can be included in the category.

Even confirming that he will be present in the Italian competition, Wout van Aert’s position left followers and fans with doubts as he recently, on social media, published an image that stated the athlete’s participation in the charity race in Breda, on May 5th. 2024, which would be curious to say the least knowing that the Giro d’Italia would already be taking place.
