Netflix is producing a documentary series about David Beckham, 47. The production aims to explore the beginning of the former football player’s career until his stardom with Champions League, Premier League and La Liga titles, becoming one of the athletes best known of his generation.

“I’m excited to confirm that I am partnering with Netflix on a documentary series about my life and career…The series will feature unseen archives, untold stories as well as interviews with the people who have been a part of my journey”, wrote the businessman on his Instagram when revealing the news.

The former player defended big clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Milan and retired in 2013. The series should also address his marriage to Victoria Beckham, 48, his four children Brooklyn,23, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 11.
According to Beckham, Fisher Stevens will direct and serve as executive producer alongside Oscar winner John Battsek. The star also enters as a producer through his company 99 Studios. The documentary series does not yet have a premiere date.
