This Monday (9), Gwyneth Paltrow revealed she uses her Oscar statuette as a doorstop.

++The sixth season of The Crown already has a release date

The revelation was made during an interview with Vogue for a “73 Questions” video, published on YouTube. The video was filmed at her home in the Hamptons, and as Paltrow led interviewer Joe Sabia into her garden, the camera stopped on an Oscar on the floor, propping open a door.

“What a beautiful Academy Award”, said Sabia, as Gwyneth jokes “My doorstop. It works perfectly!”. She won the Best Actress statuette in 1998 for “Shakespeare in Love”. Sabia talked about the Oscars later in the video, when she asked where the Gucci dress the actress wore to the premiere was.

“It’s in my closet in California”, responded Paltrow, and Sabia jokes “So you’re not using it to hold any doors around here?”. She laughed and said “Not currently”. Gwyneth wore the iconic red velvet suit again for a Gucci fashion show in 2021
