In a video posted to Instagram from the Forbes Under 30 Summit event, Kelly was talking with the interviewer, and paused mid-sentence when he noticed a man coming toward him. He quickly jumped out of his seat.

“My man, get the f—k away from me”, Kelly said while her hands were clenched into fists.  “Yo, what are you doing? What are you doing? This is a bad look. Don’t make me do this”, he continued to say to the man.

Security guards appeared and caught the man, quickly taking him off stage. The musician returned to his seat after a moment, and apologized for his reaction. “I’m sorry, I try to live the dichotomy more on this side than the other guy. I left that guy in the past. I’m really sorry”.

“I do apologize for my primal reaction”, he reaffirmed. The interviewer Kristin Stoller complimented him for his reaction, affirming that Kelly handled the situation “amazingly”. The audience agreed with her, applauding.
