In an interview to Us Weekly published this Wednesday (4), Lopez said that it was “very awkward and uncomfortable”, since he “wasn’t prepared” for the job. “One time when I interviewed Ben Affleck for a movie … I didn’t want to do it because I wasn’t prepared. And they said, ‘We don’t have anyone, you have to do it.’ I was like, ‘Oh, God.”

Lopez explained that he wrote down questions in a hurry to ask during the interview, but that Affleck figured out he wasn’t prepared. “He was looking at me [like], ‘You didn’t see this, you don’t know what you’re talking about’”.

Although Mario said that Affleck was “cool” about the chat, he still “felt very awkward and uncomfortable” because he knew that the star was aware of his situation. “He could see through me! And I’ll never forget that. And I was like, ‘Never again am I going to try to fake it.’”.

Mario Lopez got his break in Hollywood when he played A.C. Slater in the sitcom “Saved By the Bell”. He started the hosting career after the show ended in 1992, and since then he has hosted programs such as “The X Factor” and “America’s Best Dance Crew”.
