In a video shared by The Shade Room on their Instagram account on Monday (16), Nelly could be seen presenting Ashanti with two pieces of diamond jewelry. There was also a group of friends in the room watching the scene.

Ashanti admired the diamond chain necklace and gushed “Oh, that’s gorgeous”. She held her hand over her mouth and appeared to be very impressed by the gift. Nelly also appeared in the video, and could be seen giving her a hug and a kiss. The second gift was a diamond-encrusted watch, and Ashanti gave Nelly another hug.
Nelly celebrated her birthday posting a tribute to her on his Instagram account, on Sunday (15). He shared a montage of photos and video clips of them, and wrote in the caption “One time for the birthday girl…. Such a beautiful, an incredible person inside and out and one of the hardest working women. I know.. @ashanti Enjoy your day Ma you look awesome!!!! Happy Birthday Love ya!!!!”
The couple had already dated between 2003 and 2013, before splitting, and last month Nelly confirmed they had gotten back together.
