Thus, the show will make its return, however, writers Chelsea White, Cristina Kinon and Liz Koe will not return to the program.

The trio resigned after productions resumed before the end of the writers’ strike. Executive producers even made new proposals to the trio, but they were rejected.

Namely, when productions returned, two members of the audience wore pins in favor of the writers’ strike, and ended up being expelled and verbally attacked by the team, and one of them, known as Dominic Turiczek, posted what happened on his social media.

“I went to the Drew Barrymore Show after winning tickets. We picked up pins [at the studio entrance], went in and were kicked out and verbally attacked by the staff. It’s clear they are not supportive, writers or fans! So we grabbed shirts and joined the protests outside of CBS.”

The writers’ strike began in May and paralyzed several productions. Writers made requests for better remuneration, payment of residual earnings from productions and series with shorter seasons. With this, the strike came to an end on September 27th.
