The Gotham Awards 2023, one of the first important events of the American awards season, and dedicated to independent productions, took place yesterday (27), in New York, and awarded Past Lives with the award for Best Film.

In addition to the A24 feature, Gotham awarded the statuettes for Best International Film and Best Screenplay to the French film Anatomy of a Fall.

Produced by A24, Past Lives is written and directed by Celine Song and was very well received by specialized critics, having premiered in cinemas in June and is now available on digital platforms to be watched.
Anatomy of a Fall, by Justine Triet, was the film that won the Palme d’Or at this year Cannes film festival in May. It was released in US cinemas on October 13th and is still showing in some theaters.
