One of Hollywood’s most acclaimed directors, Martin Scorsese never imagined he would become a hit on TikTok. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the filmmaker said he was surprised by the success of his videos alongside his daughter, Francesca.

“I was tricked into doing this. That was a trick. I didn’t know these things went viral. They say ‘viral’. I didn’t know,” said the director.
Scorsese also explained how recording a video for his daughter Francesca Scorsese’s TikTok generally occurs.
“I’m at home doing things and she comes up to me and says, ‘Dad, look here and tell me this’. And I’m in my pajamas. She says, ‘Well, it’s something they’re doing.’ Who are they? She says, ‘Everybody’s doing it. It’s this thing called TikTok’. Okay. Okay. I mean, that we did with the dog. That one I knew.”

Martin Scorsese’s new film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is currently showing in cinemas, and will later be released in the Apple TV+ catalog, on a date yet to be defined.
This is the 26th film in Martin Scorsese’s career, which marks a repeat of the successful partnership with DiCaprio, after Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, and The Wolf of Wall Street.
Another big name in the main cast is Robert de Niro, who also has a career marked by acclaimed works with Scorsese, including Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The King of Comedy, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Casino, and The Irishman.
