Actor Paul Rudd, who plays Ant-Man in the MCU, had to go on a strict diet to play the hero in the movies. The problem, according to the actor, is that the dietary restrictions were “horrible” and his only “prize” was drinking sparkling water.

“When I was training for the Ant-Man movie and I was on a very restrictive diet, my only reward was sparkling water. That diet was so horrible. I was like, ‘Okay, I can have some sparkling water. now, I deserved it'”, said Rudd in an interview with the gastronomic podcast Off Menu.

Therefore, despite the difficulties with the diet, the actor said that he got used to it over time. “I kind of did it for all the Marvel movies, and sometimes it was easier than expected. Once you get started, it’s not too hard. This really boring diet actually gave me tons of energy.”

It’s worth remembering that the film that closed the first Ant-Man and the Wasp trilogy featured the returns of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne.

Among the new additions to the Quantumania cast, highlights include Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies) as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors (Loki) as the villain Kang, the Conqueror. Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, William Jackson Harper, Bill Murray and more complete the cast.

Once again directed by Peyton Reed, the film is available on Disney+.
