Jennifer Aniston talked about the loss of her “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry, and emphasized that he “wasn’t struggling” before his sudden death.

In an interview with Variety released this Monday (11), Aniston was asked about how she would want the world to remember Matthew. “As he said he’d love to be remembered. He was happy. He was healthy. He had quit smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy — that’s all I know”, she replied.

The actress also revealed details about the day of his death, on October 28. “I was literally texting with him that morning, funny Matty. He was not in pain. He wasn’t struggling. He was happy”, she said. Jennifer’s “Morning Show” co-star Reese Witherspoon was also in the interview and added that “It’s important people know that”. 

“It is. I want people to know he was really healthy, and getting healthy. He was on a pursuit. He worked so hard. He really was dealt a tough one. I miss him dearly. We all do. Boy, he made us laugh really hard”, continued Jennifer.

Matthew Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home. The late actor struggled with addiction throughout his life, but it has already been revealed by TMZ that no drugs were found at the scene.
