During a premiere event for the upcoming season of “What If…?” Hosted by ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis, it has been revealed that a new Marvel animated series titled “Eyes of Wakanda” is in the development stages. Details about the plot and cast have not yet been released. The animated series is scheduled to premiere in 2024, along with the animated series “X-Men ’97” and “Spider-Man: Year One.”

There has been speculation for some time about the expansion of the Black Panther universe to Disney+, with mentions of a series called “Kingdom of Wakanda” in development. However, producer Nate Moore indicated that progress on “Wakanda Forever After” was presenting challenges. “Because of the amount of time and attention that went into this film, and frankly the ‘Ironheart’ series, it’s maybe not as far along as people want it to be, but there are certainly some great ideas that we’re still talking to Ryan about. So we’ll see until where can we go with this,” Moore explained to Collider.
