According to TMZ, the ex-couple’s lawyers asked a judge in their federal case in New York to dismiss Turner’s previous complaint,  in which she alleged that Joe had kidnapped their daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, in the middle of their divorce.

In September 2023, Turner filed the lawsuit against Jonas requesting to secure “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained”. She claimed that he began the “wrongful retention” on September 20.

Sophie also said that they agreed during Christmas 2022 that they would make the UK their “forever home”, and would look for schools for their daughter Willa. But she claimed that Joe withheld their daughters’ passports so they couldn’t leave the US.

Joe denied Sophie’s claims, via a statement from his rep. The singer filed for divorce from Turner in September 2023, after four years of marriage. Since then, they have been involved in a contentious custody battle over their two daughters.

In October 2023, they reached a temporary custody agreement for the children, which will last until January 2024.
