Jack Black explains what gives him “goosebumps”

It’s funny man Jack Black’s first time in Brazil to promote his new move ‘Goosebumps: Monsters and Creeps’ and he’s having a little fun mastering a Portuguese accent and telling JETSS what gives him “goosebumps.”

Black 46, greeted his fans and posed for selfies at a local São Paulo mall, then spoke with JETSS about his new film and the fact that most of the current movies are “too scary” for young children.  His intention with ‘Goosebumps’ is for kids to experience the good, old-fashioned scary movie-making of the 1980’s saying…“There are no more scary and entertaining movies for kids nowadays. In general, they are all just too scary. We wanted to rescue the spirit of 1980’s movies like ET, Ghostbusters and The Goonies.”

We asked Black if he still gets “goosebumps” and he said, “Yes, having to take four helicopters and fly over this big city of São Paulo actually did give me goosebumps and the creeps; but here I am! [laughs].”

What else terrified Black? After multiple attempts to pronounce our interviewer’s name “Graziela” saying, “uhhh it’s such a difficult name, Graziela.” Thanks for trying Jack; you did great!

‘Goosebumps’ is about how the imaginary demons of a cranky horror writer [Black, who plays bestselling author R.L. Stine] come to life and attack the small town of Madison, Delaware.

Goosebumps: Monsters and Creeps’ is in theaters now!
