Just a few hours ago, the official portraits of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama were unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery. The presidential pictures, the first created by black artist, were painted by New York based artist Kehinde Wiley and Baltimore-based artist Amy Sherald.
And while many believe the portraits truly represent the nature of Obama’s historic presidency and legacy, people on the internet weren’t found the pictures, shall we say, interesting. From the unique leafy background and an uncanny Karry Washington resemblance, the paintings sparked many reactions on Twitter.
