We’re more than ready to order a bucket of chicken from Los Pollos Hermanos and throw a pizza on the roof of our houses in excitement. According to Variety, Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad, is cooking up (pun intended) a movie based on the critically acclaimed show.
According to reports, the film, which is titled Greenbriar, “tracks the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.”
And while there’s still not much information about the movie, judging by this rather brief synopsis, it sounds like the Breaking Bad movie will be a sequel set after the events of the series ending, following Jesse as he blazes a trail away from that horrifying finale.
But do we really need/want a final chapter to Pinkman’s story?
While some fans are screaming “yeah, b*tch” from the top of their lungs, others are afraid that further expanding the Breaking Bad universe will ruin what has been widely said to be one of the best endings in TV history.
Then again, Better Call Saul is absolutely delightful. So maybe we should trust our man Gilligan.
