The Eagles of Death Metal have returned to Paris after the horrific terror attacks in the city ended their November show in tragedy. Irish rock band U2 was performing a set at the Accor Hotels Arena when Bono brought up the band to perform Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power,” TMZ reports.
“They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago and we would like to offer them ours tonight,”the U2 frontman said. The EODM performed at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris when attackers took concertgoers hostage before killing 89 inside the venue.
Bono and his band subsequently postponed their tour dates in the French capital. The rescheduled show featuring the EODM was recorded and will be broadcast on HBO on Monday.
