In Italy on Monday, Tiger Woods arrived to surprise his girlfriend Lindsey Vonn on the occasion of her record-setting World Cup performance. Woods wore a skull face mask for most of his time on the slopes, and closeups revealed that Woods is apparently missing a tooth.
It appears Woods was a victim of an overly aggressive media corps. Mark Steinberg, Tiger’s agent explains:
“During a crush of photographers as the awards podium at the World Cup event in Italy, a media member with a shoulder-mounted video camera pushed and surged toward the stage, turned and hit Tiger Woods in the mouth. Woods’ tooth was knocked out by the incident.”
Woods is scheduled to tee it up at next week’s Waste Management Open in Phoenix.
