Paula Patton split from husband, singer Robin Thicke just over a year ago and now she’s finally speaking about it.
In a new interview with ‘Good Morning America’ today Patton spoke in-depth about the breakup and her plans for the future. The actress admitted it has been a challenging year but that she feels the decision to file for divorce was the right one.
“I mean, the honest truth is, it has been challenging, I feel like everything happens for a reason, And then you have to move on and grow from there. The thing is, you can’t wallow in sadness or stay in bed when you have a child, they’re so full of life and wonder; he brings me so much joy!”
Patton, met Thicke when they were both teenagers, high-school sweethearts in fact, she 15 and he 14 yrs. They have a four-year-old son together named Julian.
