Matt Damon he was fearful about playing an astronaut and regrets not keeping his spacesuit from ‘The Martian’.

The actor 44 yrs said he had fears about playing an astronaut but Damon said… “I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it was, but Ridley Scott just made it so easy because he’s a brilliant director. It was much, much easier than I thought.”

Damon stars with Jessica Chastain and Kate Mara in the Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi movie also admitted he wishes he’d followed the example of Chris Pratt, who kept one of the motorcycles from the set of ‘Jurassic World’. Speaking at the European premiere of ‘The Martian’ in London’s Leicester Square last night, Damon who plays astronaut Mark Watney – told BANG Showbiz: ”I didn’t get to keep the spacesuit, I should’ve asked for it. Chris Pratt got to keep the motorcycle? I’ve got to talk to his agent.”

Scott screened the film for real-life astronauts and described the experience as ”fantastic” saying…’‘The International Space Station set it up. I wanted to see the guys, I wanted to see their reaction.”
