Jennifer Aniston has a couple of easy fixes to the frantic festive schedule that could leave you with the opposite of peace and love. The Cake actress believes simplification is the easiest way to preserve your sanity this Christmas and gave out these handy practical tips on Gwyneth Paltrow’s website Goop.
1. Don’t over-commit
“Don’t over-extend yourself too much. There is nothing worse than wearing yourself down during what is already a busy time for everyone,” the 46-year-old said. “I know sometimes it’s hard to not over-commit to friends and family during the holidays but I try to be mindful of it.”
2. Hit the road
“When I’m really wiped out, it’s time to go on a trip,” she said. “I have my go-to places in warm climates and sandy beaches like Mexico that really allow me to relax and get back on track.” Not to worry if you can’t afford to travel this year, though. Jennifer has you covered with her next tip.
3. Pamper yourself
“I like massages and spa treatments, too – they help if I can’t get on a plane and go on vacation.”
4, Spend time with your closest loved ones
“Spending time with my husband, my dogs, and long-time girlfriends. Those times are sacred to me and I would never give them up,” the former Friends star advised. The actress married actor and screenwriter Justin Theroux in August this year and also revealed the best gift she has ever received: “When my husband surprises me when I’m away working.”
