Here’s an oddly specific piece of advice: If you’re hot and homeless, hang out on the beaches of LA more and you might get famous.

That’s exactly what 20-year-old homeless surfer boy John Economou had been doing when supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid sat down for a beach picnic next to his “bed.”

“I saw seagulls swarming around the girls because they brought the food out and I started walking over there to shoo them away,” John told Daily Mail. “One of the girls said to me, ‘You’re cute,’ so I turned around and we struck up conversation.”

John then told the girls he has been living on Venice Beach with only two changes of clothes and a toothbrush. Impressed with his story, the catwalk beauties set him up with top modelling agency, Two Management, who signed him straight away.

He now says he hopes to be on top of the modelling world soon: “I’m confident in myself if I can get there.”

The striking young man left his Milwaukee home to pursue fame and fortune in California last year. When he is not sleeping on the beach, he spends the night with girls he picks up there, earning him the nickname “Romeo of Venice Beach.” Getting a modelling gig from Kendall and Gigi isn’t a bad second prize, Romeo.
