She might be the Chief of State of the New Republic, but Disney can still ask her to shake off some pounds before putting her onscreen.

The producers of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens film instructed Carrie Fisher, who portrays Princess Leia, to lose some weight before shooting, British magazine Good Housekeeping reports.

This comes nearly 40 years after Fisher, now 59, was asked to do the same before shooting the first Star Wars film.

“Nothing changes. It’s an appearance-driven thing. I’m in a business where the only thing that matters is weight and appearance. That is so messed up,” she said.

The film is set for its initial North American release later this month.
