Ryan Reynolds has said that some of his dad habits might be insane, but he rode a unicorn to work in the weeks after his daughter’s birth.
The 39-year-old actor seems to have kept his surreal and silly sense of humor in tact fully while opening up about fatherhood in a recent interview with Men’s Health magazine.
He said that despite being sleep deprived after the birth of his daughter, he has taken to the challenge well: “During those first six months, it’s amazing that you find a way to keep going.”
“You want to trip balls? Have a kid and see what it’s like to be awake for a month straight,” he joked. “You’ll have moments where you’re like, ‘Did I really ride a unicorn to work?’”
The Deadpool star also said that he is fully devoted to his little girl to the point where he is questioning the sanity of some of his habits.
“I still check on her in the middle of the night and put my fingers under her nose just to make sure she’s still breathing,” he said. “Is that insane? I feel like it might be a little bit insane.
Reynolds’ wife, actress Blake Lively, gave birth to daughter James in December 2014.
