Kanye West may or may not live up to his claim of being the greatest artist in history, but he sure does have some of the greatest fans.
What other group of fans would dig deep into their pockets to fork out in an attempt to cover the $53 million debt Kanye recently claimed to be in?
That’s exactly what the donors of the $7 000 (so far) in one GoFundMe account has done, TMZ reports.
The man who started the account, Jeremy Piatt, told the publication the online funding site contacted him recently to tell him he can’t access the funds himself – he would have to contact Kanye’s people.
Rapper Kanye West recently revealed his massive debt after releasing his latest album, The Life of Pablo, to adoring fans at a Madison Square Garden event in New York City last week.
Shortly thereafter, he started a Twitter campaign asking Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for $1 billion before declaring: “Never give up on your dreams, bro…my dreams brought me into debt and I’m close to seeing the light of day… (sic)”
There has been no word from Kanye West yet, but the account is growing.
