Rihanna has postponed the start of her world tour days after she had to cancel her highly anticipated Grammy Awards performance because of illness.
The first rescheduled show on Rihanna’s Anti world tour will now be on March 12 in Jacksonville, Florida, according to the singer’s website.
The Barbadian singer’s tour was set to kick off in San Diego, California on February 26, but her management postponed eight shows as a result of the unnamed illness that reportedly affects her voice.
On Monday, the 27-year-old diva called off her performance at the Grammy Awards ceremony at the last minute after attempting to go through rehearsals.
She has since been ordered by doctors to rest up to avoid permanent damage to her vocal cords, but representatives of the singer are yet to comment about her condition.
The Anti world tour is scheduled to conclude in Zurich on August 12.
