A judge has ordered Johnny Depp to stay away from his estranged wife Amber Heard after she claimed the actor assaulted her.
The 30-year-old Heard had a bruise on her cheek when she walked out of the Los Angles court where the judge issued a domestic violence restraining order against Depp, The Telegraph reports.
The 52-year-old actor was not present in court as he was set to appear on stage with his band Hollywood Vampires in Lisbon, Portugal.
Heard cited Depp’s “exceptionally scary temper” and said he caused the bruise on her face when he threw an iPhone at her last Saturday.
“During the entirety of our relationship Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me,” she said. “I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him.”
Depp has since dismissed Heard’s claims as fantasy and his representative called her “an affront to real victims of domestic violence.”
It was reported earlier that Heard filed for divorce at the Los Angeles Superior Court last week and that she is seeking spousal support from Depp.
The couple met while co-starring in the 2011 film The Rum Diaries and married 15 months ago. They have no children together.
