Amber Heard has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences with husband Johnny Depp after only 15 months of marriage.
Heard, 30, filed the divorce at the Los Angeles Superior Court and she is seeking spousal support from the 52-year-old Depp, BBC reports.
She listed their separation date as Sunday, 22 May.
The couple met while co-starring in the 2011 film The Rum Diaries and married 15 months ago. They have no children together.
Depp has asked the judge to reject Heard’s request for a chunk of his personal fortune that is set to grow considerably after this coming Friday’s release of Alice through the Looking Glass.
The couple was recently in trouble with the law together when Heard admitted she falsified documents to take their dogs into Australia where Depp was filming for yet another sequel in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
They then released a cringeworthy apology video telling whoever bothered to waste their time on it to respect Australia’s quarantine laws.
