Amber Heard has apparently now decided she won’t be handing in that police report after all, because she “still loves” Johnny Depp.
The 30-year-old actress was set to finally hand in her police report of the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband, but now she has had a change of heart, Mirror reports.
Heard reportedly “doesn’t want to bury him” as she worries that the report would lead to the 52-year-old Black Mass star’s arrest and further prosecution.
According to TMZ, sources close to Depp are dismissing her sympathy as they allege the actress timed her allegations to coincide with the release of her husband’s latest film, Alice Through the Looking Glass last Friday.
We reported earlier this week that the film absolutely tanked at the box office after the abuse allegations against the film’s star surfaced.
Heard’s reps, however, argue she was “forced” into filing a report as a result of the backlash she suffered over the alleged abuse.
“Johnny’s team has forced Amber to give a statement to the LAPD to set the record straight as to the true facts,” her lawyers said earlier this week.
“We took the high road. Unfortunately, Johnny’s team immediately went to the press and began viciously attacking Amber’s character.”
