Police in Chicago are on the lookout for Sinead O’Connor after she threatened to jump off a bridge in the city.
According to TMZ, the 49-year-old singer contacted one of her relatives in her native Ireland and told them she was about to jump off a bridge in the Chicago area.
The family member then contacted the local police, who phoned it in to the Chicago Police Department.
An alert from the department said: “The word from the Ireland police sergeant Claire Mulligan, Dublin, Ireland, is saying that at 15:30 hours Sinead O’Connor called and said, ‘I’m on a bridge in Chicago and I’m going to jump.’”
Police are reportedly not launching an active search, but will be on the lookout for the singer who has repeatedly gone missing this year.
In May this year, the singer was reported missing after not returning from a bike ride, but she was found “safe and well” not long after.
