Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have settled their messy divorce and have released a painfully manufactured statement to declare legal peace.
In a joint statement, the couple said their relationship had been volatile at times, but neither intended physical or emotional harm, BBC reports.
“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love,” it read.
Unconfirmed reports have placed the value of the settlement between $7 million and $7.7 million.
The news of the settlement came just one day before the couple’s restraining order trial was set to begin.
Heard initially filed for a temporary restraining order against the 53-year-old actor and it ordered him not to contact his estranged wife and stay 100 yards away from her.
“Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm,” their statement continued.
It also said that Heard will be donating her financial gains to a domestic abuse charity in what would be the final act of their 18 month marriage.
