Anton Yelchin’s parents are reportedly planning to sue Fiat Chrysler as they feel the company is responsible for the actor’s tragic death.
The 27-year old actor died in June when his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled backwards and pinned him against a security gate at his home.
His family lawyers now say they will sue “for the wrongful death of their son due to significant defects,” TMZ reports.
The publication reports that they are also planning on suing the AutoNation car retailer chain. This is likely where he purchased the vehicle.
A class action suit was also recently filed after the actor’s death claiming that the 2015 Cherokee has a faulty e-shift that makes drivers think the vehicle is in park when it is in fact in neutral.
