Amy Poehler FINALLY wins an Emmy!

Amy Poehler has finally won an Emmy Award after she had to smile and clap as others walked away with the statue 17 times!

The funny actress was jointly honoured with the award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series along with her BFF Tina Fey at the 68th Annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday.

The award recognized their hilarious performance on Saturday Night Live and finally ended Poehler’s Leonardo DiCaprioesque run as a losing nominee.

The Parks and Recreation star was not present to pick up her reward, though, and neither was Tina Fey.

The HBO series Game of Thrones was another big winner on the night, bagging seven awards including Outstanding Casting, Outstanding Production Design and Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

Netflix’s Making a Murderer managed to grab four gongs, including the Documentary Series gong as well as awards for writing, directing and editing.
