Brad Pitt has pulled out of attending the premiere of his latest film a week after news broke of his divorce from Angelina Jolie.
The 52-year-old actor said he will skip the premiere of Voyage of Time to “focus on his family situation” as he is afraid his presence would “distract attention away from the extraordinary film.”
“Voyage of Time is an incredibly beautiful and unique experiential IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time,” Pitt said of the film he narrated for director Terrence Malick.
“’I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.’”
Brad’s decision to bail out of the premiere might prove a smart move as he is currently gearing up for what promises to be the most epic custody battle in Hollywood history.
According to British newspaper Daily Mail, Angelina filed for joint legal custody but sole physical custody of their kids Maddox (15), Pax (12), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10), and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
We also reported earlier that Brad is desperate to see his kids after Angelina moved her brood into a rented home in Malibu, California without giving him access to see them.
