Insiders close to Brad Pitt and Angelian Jolie are saying that the couple had “screaming fights” over the way they are raising their children over the course of their marriage.
Sources say the couple dragged kids Maddox (15), Pax (12), Zahara (11), Shiloh (10) and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne around between the homes they owned in France, Los Angeles, New Orleans and New York.
On top of that, the brood also went along wherever Brad and Angelina happened to be working on their latest film project, Us Weekly reports.
This was just the way Angelina liked it, and she told NBC in 2011: “I’m trying to raise [the children] to really live a truly global [life].”
Sources say Brad was not keen on the whole “borderless” approach his modern wife took on and as early as 2009 it was reported that Brad wanted to enroll his kids in one New Orleans school.
“Brad wants them to have a normal upbringing and worries that they’ll come out spoiled, elitist and not grounded,” the source said at the time. “But Angie feels they should be ‘children of the world.’ They argue about it all the time: heated, screaming fights.”
Brad and Angelina reportedly also had constant disagreements over his stricter style in comparison with her laissez-faire vibe. “She would not tolerate him yelling at the kids,” the source said. “There were a few times Angie said she was terrified.”
It ultimately became too much of a struggle for the couple and we reported earlier that Angelina filed for divorce on September 19.
