Ben Stiller has revealed that he was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The Dodgeball and Zoolander star revealed the sad news to radio personality Howard Stern on his show Howard 101.
The 50-year-old star said his doctors’ detection of the life-threatening diseasing came “out of the blue” and he “stopped everything” as he felt that his future was now very uncertain.
“At first, I didn’t know what was going to happen. I was scared. It just stopped everything in your life because you can’t plan for a movie because you don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said.
Thankfully, Stiller said he recently had surgery to remove his prostate completely and, as a result, he is now cancer free.
Stiller said he has broken his silence as he wishes to spread awareness of the prostate-specificen antigen test (PSA), which he believes “saved” his life.
