Kanye West was hospitalized on Monday after cancelling his tour the day after having another onstage meltdown at the weekend.
The rapper’s Saint Pablo Tour was set to run through to 31 December but all 21 remaining shows have been cancelled, TMZ reports.
Hours after his political rant at a show in Sacramento, Kanye was reportedly checked into a University of California, Los Angeles clinic.
TMZ reported that he was undergoing psychiatric tests, but not the kind we all expected. The 39-year-old is apparently under observation for “exhaustion.”
Mike Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, said they responded to a call at Kanye’s house earlier in the afternoon when they were alerted of a “disturbance.”
“That disturbance became a medical emergency where the fire department came and treated the individual,” he said.
We reported earlier that Kanye acted erratically, even for him, on stage Saturday as he launched a 10-minute political tirade claiming that he had “visions.”
On Thursday, Kanye was also booed on stage after saying that he didn’t vote, but if he did, he would have voted for US President-Elect Donald Trump.
Voting for a winning candidate is nothing crazy, but he also brought Jay Z and Beyoncé into the mix, telling them that it’s a “new world.”
Outgoing US President Barack Obama was also mentioned…
Forbes Magazine has now predicted that West would lose around $10m from the cancellation.
