Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour set off in India on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, along with special guest Alan Walker. His first concert of the tour was at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
The 23-year old singer landed at the Kalina airport early Wednesday morning along with his security team. There was a great multitude of fans waiting at the entrance of the airport as Bieber exited. A few lucky fans managed to take videos of Bieber as he was rushed to his car.
Bieber arrived in Mumbai on a chartered flight along with his crew, wearing a pink pullover and black shorts. His security team escorted him away to the St. Regis Hotel located in South Mumbai. Earlier on Tuesday, Bieber took to social media and wrote “Dubai is incredible… India you are next. @Amit_Bhatia99 u ready? Purpose Tour Stadiums,” on his Twitter account.
The concert venue was reportedly sold out with more than 45,000 seats. The tour is to promote Bieber’s fourth album, Purpose. Tickets are priced upwards of Rs 5,000 (77.70 USD) and fans have come from all over the country to see the show.
