Just two months ago, Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez broke the internet with a very suspicious picture with Ronaldo’s hand on her belly.
Many took the photo as a clue that Cristiano and Georgina had scored a goal, so to speak. And after weeks of speculation and absolute silence from the power couple, the Real Madrid star has final set the record straight: they are, indeed, expecting a baby together.
On Tuesday, the soccer player confirmed the rumors in an interview with the newspaper El Mundo.
When asked if he was “happy” to have another child on the way, he immediately replied: “Yes, very much.”
The news come just weeks after Ronaldo introduced his baby twins, Eva María and Mateo on June 8 through his Instagram account. He later posted another picture with his new babies, this time next to his six-year-old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. On July 11, he shared a family picture, where Rodriguez is seen in a bikini, holding one of the twins and showing off her noticeable baby bump.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez firm met in the summer of 2016 at a Gucci Store in Madrid, where they struck up conversation and exchanged contact information. While they didn’t go public immediately with their romance, the 22-year-old model and the 32-year-old soccer player confirmed their relationship in January when they arrived to the Best FIFA Football Awards together.
This will be the couple’s first child together.
