This happy, happy news will make your heart go on.
Jack and Rose Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet reunited once again, this time to save the planet—and melt our hearts as they do it.
The 42-year-old Oscar-winning actor was joined by his longtime friend, the also Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet, as he hosted the 3rd Annual Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala for his environmental charity, which took place on Wednesday night at Domain Bertaud Belieu in St. Tropez, France.
The pair auctioned off a private dinner date with the two of them. Kate and Leonardo are giving the lucky bidder a chance to join their party sometime in October or November at a place of their choosing in New York City.
All proceeds from the gala and auction—including this “Titanic” meet and greet—will support Leo’s foundation in grants to environmental causes. Not only that, but DiCaprio and Winslet’s one-of-a-kind dinner will also benefit a GoFundMe campaign Kate has been involved with the aims to help a young mom in the U.K. pay for her cancer treatment.
DiCaprio was joined by many other of his famous friends, like Madonna and Lenny Kravitz, who took the stage to perform for the guests, Sean Penn, Tobey Maguire, Adrien Brody, Gerard Butler, and many more. And like if that wasn’t good enough A-list crowd, there was one more epic appearance.
Billy Zane, who played Cal Hockley in the 1997 James Cameron film, met with his costars 20 years after the hit blocker in support of Leo’s foundation. “Gangs back together”, he captioned a photo of the trio on social media. “Now we’re saving icebergs. Go figure. @katewinsletofficial @leonardodicaprio @leonardodicapriofdn” Zane added, pointing out the irony of the cause that reunited them.
We wonder if Billy had a chance to ask them why Jack didn’t get on the door with Rose when there was more-than-enough room.
