Harrison Ford might be one of the best action-movie actors in the history of cinema—but he’s not quite as good with names.
Harrison Ford and Ryan gosling—co-stars in the upcoming film Blade Runner 2049—stopped by The Graham Norton Show on Friday night to promote their movie, and the interview was simply extraordinary!
Well…at least for the audience.
In which probably was one of the most embarrassing guest appearance on television, Harrison Ford literally forgot Ryan Gosling’s name while recalling his impressions upon reading the script.
“They came up with a good story,” Harrison started. “I read about the character that… uh…Ryan. [Is it] Ryan?” he hesitated. “It’s Ryan,” his co-star replied.
Of course, the audience burst into laughter.
Ford continued: “With great enthusiasm, I called up the producers and I said, ‘This is great! Why don’t we see if we can get, uh…he faltered again, as he turned to Gosling for help. “Ryan,” he reminded Ford, as the La la land actor tried to hold back his laughter.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Harrison Ford struggles to remember his co-star’s name.
In a previous interview, the 75-year-old actor called the younger star Ryan Gooseling. “Gosling,” Ryan corrected him. “We’ve gone over this. We’ve gone over this so much.”
Apparently, the confusion comes from Ryan’s roots the Great White North. “I’m thinking Canadian goose,” explained Ford.
“I know, I know, I see how you’re doing it,” Gosling responded. “If we could just get in there and switch it around.”
“Sorry,” Ford said, shaking his head. “It’ll never happen again, Brian.”
I mean, the guy is his 70’s and he’s been Indiana Jones and Han Solo. As far as I’m concerned, he can call him whatever if he wants!
