Madonna Relocates To Lisbon To Help Launch Son David’s Soccer Career

If there’s one thing that Madonna is familiar with is change. Change of style, change of musical taste, and more recently, change of location.

“Madonna is no longer a tourist, she now lives in Lisbon,” weekly magazine Visão reported. The original Material Girl has packed up her life and moved to Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, so her son David Banda, 11, can pursue his dream of becoming a professional soccer player.

David will be attending the prestigious Benfica’s youth academy, the training program for the Portuguese soccer team. The club accepted the youngster after his first trial period in 2017.

“David recently spent a week at Benfica and his prodigious talents impressed everyone,” a source explained. “Madonna is determined to give her kids every opportunity in life and this one is too good to pass up. She and the family will be moving to Portugal.”

According to the local press, the pop legend has been staying in a hotel after buying a house palace outside Lisbon and is planning to enroll her younger children at the city’s exclusive French Lycée.

David will stay at the academy until he starts the school year at the French high school in Lisbon.

The future-soccer-star is one of four children Madonna, 59, adopted from Malawi after she adopted twin girls in February. She also has two biological children. Just a couple weeks ago, the Queen of Pop shared an adorable picture of herself celebrating her birthday with her brood.
