Beyoncé’s ladies just got in formation!
Queen B’s birthday alone is an epic day, but when Michelle Obama, Serena Williams, and even Blue Ivy dress up as Beyoncé to wish her a happy birthday—then, for God’s sake, we might as well turn it into a national holiday!
On Monday, the singer’s official website shared a series of portraits of various important women in Beyoncé’s life recreating her iconic look from the Formation music video.
“Happy birthday Beyoncé / From your family and friends,” reads a message at the top of the page.
Among the famous female faces paying tribute to Beyoncé were her daughter Blue Ivy, former FLOTUS Michelle Obama, tennis superstar (and new mom) Serena Williams, and Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Of course, mamma Knowles and mamma Carter also got in on the act.
From the black dress, to the ornate necklace, to the wide-brimmed hat, to the braided pigtails, all women donned Beyoncé’s fierce attire to a tee.
But the pictures were more than just an epic homage to Bey. Above the gallery was a call to action message urging her fans to support Beyoncé’s hometown Houston and the surrounding areas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
“Join us in supporting Houston relief efforts #BeyGoodHouston,” the message read. “Your donations will help in long-term revitalization and aid in purchasing immediate needs like: cots, blankets and pillows, baby products, feminine products, wheelchairs and more.”
That’s one heck of an altruistic-gift if you ask me!
