An intruder broke into Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s property in Bel Air on Friday. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, authorities were notified of the robbery attempt around 5 am on October 20th.
“A witness observed a suspect enter and exit the victim’s vehicle and then flee the location,” a PDLA officer confirmed. “A second suspect who was hiding in some bushes also fled the location.”
Although the intruders didn’t make their way into the mansion, they did manage to loot three vehicles, where they found an iPhone and stole it. According to the authorities, neither the cars nor the phone belong to the couple, but to their staff members.
After the unsuccessful robbery at the West’s mansion, the thieves also broke into the property of their neighbor, Kathy Griffin, where they trashed a car on her driveway and reportedly stole the comedian’s purse.
The suspects were allegedly chased off and fled. However, the West’s surveillance system captured an image of one of the burglars, which is already been used by the PDLA in an attempt to locate him.
The burglary comes a little over a year after Kardashian was tied up, held at gunpoint, and stolen $10 million worth of jewelry during her stay in Paris in October 2016. In a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the reality TV star opened up about the traumatic episode, saying, “Ever since Paris, I just go through this worst case scenario mode in my head.”
Thankfully, Kim, Kanye, and their children, North and Saint, are safe and sound.
