Trouble in hippie paradise…
After three years together, and months of facing split rumors, Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs have pulled the plug on their engagement. The news was confirmed by The Sun, citing a source close to the couple.
“They were almost inseparable for their first two years together. But in recent months they have really started to drift apart and have been spending less and less time together.”
“Rob is tired of it, has called off their engagement and told friends they have split,” the insider went on. “With so much history between them, though, there are still strong feelings there. It’s a difficult situation but things have become tough between them for some time and they both know they were no longer working as a couple.”
For the last few months, fans of the actor and the singer, as well as the international press, have noticed some signs indicating that the British couple was not at its best.
In an interview in July, the lead actor of the Twilight saga said he was “kinds of” engaged to Twigs, statement that caused some speculation. Rumors of their separation intensified a month later, when FKA was seen out and about without her engagement ring.
Pattinson and Twigs met at one of her concerts started dating September 2014. Seven months later, T-Pain accidentally spilled the beans on their engagement in an interview with Vulture. The rapper tried to pass his statement as an April Fools joke. But sources close to the couple confirmed to People magazine that Robert and FKA were, indeed, engaged.
Shortly after the news was revealed, a ring suddenly materialized on her finger.
Neither Rob nor FKA Twigs, who have tried to keep their relationship away from the public eye, have confirmed or denied the news of their separation.
