Selena Gomez is back, and we love it like a love song, baby!
Selena Gomez is ready to return to the big stages after having surgery. And like the super pop star that she is, her first performance will be at 2017 American Music Awards.
The multiplatinum artist is set to singe her new single, “Wolves”, live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, as confirmed by Selena herself via Twitter, who expressed her excitement to perform her new psychedelic track for the first time in television.
This will mark Gomez’ third time taking the stage at the event. In 2015, Selena sang her hit song “Same Old Love”. The year before, she performed a very emotional rendition of “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”
“I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you,” she shared on a moving Instagram post.
Although Selena has spent most of the year “laying low”, taking some time off away from the spotlight to focus on her health, just in the past year alone, the singer has released huge hit songs including “Bad Liar”, “Fetish”, and “It’s Aint Me” with Kygo.
But maybe she’ll make up for her time off with an amazing performance at the AMA’S. What will she bring to the big stage? You’ll have to see it for yourself on Sunday, November 19 at 8 pm on ABC.
