After “Despacito”, Luis Fonsi is ready to take over the world… again! This time, alongside Demi Lovato.
On Tuesday, Demi finally confirmed her upcoming Spanish collaboration, “Echame La Culpa” (Blame Me), featuring the “Cool of the Summer” hitmaker, Luis Fonsi.
The singers made the announcement on Instagram last night. Lovato simply wrote “November 17th” and tagged Fonsi in an exciting sneak peek at the long-awaited music video and song, where we can hear her singing in Spanish over a catchy beat.
“No me conociste nunca de verdad/ Ya se fue la magia que te enamoró/ Y es que no quisiera estar en tu lugar/ Porque tu error solo fue conocerme,” Lovato sings in Spanish, which translates to: “You never really knew me/ the magic that made us fall in love is already gone/ and I wouldn’t want to be in your place because your only mistake was meeting me.”
Luis also shared the good news on his social media, posting a pic of himself on a bed with the single’s title printed across a pillow.
The two hinted at a collaboration and dropped several hints in the past weeks. On October 21st, both artists shared pictures from a music video shoot simultaneously, and on Friday, the two shared the same photo of them together in the studio.
“Hey Fonsi,” Demi captioned her post. The Puerto Rican singer wrote, “¿Qué pasa Demi?” alongside his post of the same picture.
Demi is set to perform at the AMAs this Sunday. Meanwhile, the “Despacito” singer will take the stage at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on Thursday. And after seeing Fonsi’s Instagram Stories on Monday, that included a picture of his and Lovato’s name on a screen in Las Vegas, we are hoping that the duo debuts their new single, live, earlier than expected!
