Palms sweaty? Knees weak? Arms heavy? Eminem’s new restaurant is the place for you!
The rapper announced the launch of “Mom’s Spaghetti”; a pop-up store and restaurant that will open its doors in Detroit this weekend, in celebration of the release of “Revival”, his latest studio album which went on sale yesterday.
The me of the store, obviously¸ is inspired in the lyrics of one of the verses from his legendary song “Lose Yourself”, sound track of his 2002 sort of, kind of biopic “8 Mile”. The verse goes: “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.”
The pop-up shop will be a double homage to the film, not only because it is the inspiration behind the clever name of the venue, but also because it will be located in the Detroit Shelter club, the same one from the movie in which the musician is seen getting ready before going to the rap battle of his life.
Eminem made the announcement on Thursday night through his social media. The menu, published by the rapper in his official Twitter, includes—of course—spaghetti, meatballs, sandwiches, and exclusive merchandise like jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, benies, and the long-awaited album “Revival”.
